I’m Sahra, a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Brooklyn who creates across illustration, animation, and design.

Originally from South Salem, NY, I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University with a double major in Film & Media Studies and English Literature.

I now work as a senior graphic designer at Reese Witherspoon’s media company Hello Sunshine, designing for internal brands like Reese’s Book Club and The Home Edit, and with outside clients through the Hello Sunshine marketing agency, Solar. I also write an interactive blog called Enrichment Activities where I share illustrations, recommendations, and reviews.

As a freelancer, I have worked with clients including Science Friday on NPR, Gal-Dem, and Intersectional Environmentalist. I taught a typography design workshop in 2023 with The Next IT Girl, a nonprofit that provides technology education to young women of color. A fun fact about me is that I was randomly an extra in the Academy Award-nominated film Don’t Look Up.
